Anthropologists gather on Sensitive and Minority Archives at IAS

Archives are being reimagined by a group of anthropologists and transdisciplinary scholars starting from Thursday, July 23 at the Institute of African Studies, University of Ibadan.

Led by Professor Barbara Morovich and Michael Awoyemi, the workshop will examine such themes as Sensitive and Minority Archives, African Memory Institutions as well as ethical issues relating to digitisation in the continent. Both Morovich and Dr Sa'eed Husaini will anchor this, while the head of Anthropology Unit at IAS will chair the event. Members of the public are equally encouraged to engage narratives of their archives in their private times.
