Prof. Mark Nwagwu Presented Insibidi and The Cultural Stem Cell Theory at Archeology and Anthropology Departmental Seminar
At the invitation of the Department of Archaeology and Anthropology, University of Ibadan, on the 17th of September, 2026, Professor Mark Nwagwu, a doctoral student of Cultural and Media Studies in the Institute of African Studies presented Nsibidi and the Cultural Stem Cell Theory.
The presentation generated conversations around the interdisciplinary discourse of bringing Nsibidi (sociology) through biology (science) to the Humanities (Osofisan's Extra-verbal theatre).
The conversation went further into cementing interactions between disciplines in knowledge and between cultures in society, inducing transcendental togetherness of various polities.
Emeritus Profs. Dan Izevbaye, Femi Osofisan and other researchs and scholars graced the seminar and contributed to the conversation.
